Bill Fyfe


Bill J. Fyfe, Ed. D, is a Colorado licensed psychologist (782). Dr. Fyfe established his Colorado private practice in July 1983. He specializes in relationship problems (couples and/or family) and Parental Responsibilities Evaluations (PRE). Dr. Fyfe has provided PRE and Parenting Coordinator services since 1983. He also provides collaborative parenting plan consultation.


Dr. Fyfe has testified numerous times across the state in divorce cases. He has presented nationally and locally numerous times on a variety of topics including research on divorce adjustment, parental alienation, adolescent development, reunification therapy, couples issues, and brain development in children.


Dr. Fyfe served on the Colorado Supreme Court Standing Committee on Family Issues (SCFI) for nine years (2008-2017). Dr. Fyfe was a Co-chair of the 2017 CO AFCC Fall Conference. He has served on the Family Law Institute (FLI) Planning Committee most recently in 2014. He chaired, planned, and/or presented at state conferences in 1988, 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2008 through 2017.


Dr. Fyfe earned his doctorate in psychology from the University of Northern Colorado in 1978. Dr. Fyfe was an assistant professor at New Mexico State University and maintained a private practice in Las Cruces, New Mexico from 1979-1982. Prior positions include Outreach Coordinator for Horizon House Psychiatric Center, Drug Rehabilitation Program, 1972-1976, and Assistant Director of Services, Operation Concern, Teenage Consultation Center, 1970-1972. Dr. Fyfe has been a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) since 1983. He is a member of AFCC, CO AFCC, and MDIC.
